Title of Research: Climate Ethics: Promoting and Enforcing Climate-Change-Sensitive Behaviors.
Research Description: The activities related to the subject of this procedure fall within the research area of "Ethics and Global Challenges" at the DIRPOLIS Institute (Law, Politics, Development) of the Sant'Anna School. They are primarily part of the PRO3 project, "Theories and Tools for Ecological Transition: Philosophical, Mathematical, Ethical, and Legal Aspects of the Carbon Budget Sustainability Challenge." In line with the project's objectives, we intend to recruit a research fellow with the following profile: "Climate Ethics: Promoting and Enforcing Climate-Change-Sensitive Behaviors." The candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong background in moral philosophy, with specific reference to philosophical anthropology, contemporary moral philosophy, and moral psychology. They should be able to understand the philosophical, psychological, and social dynamics that drive ethical behaviors and actions, especially in the context of climate ethics, contributing to bridging the motivational gap in the adoption of sustainable behaviors. Applications from profiles oriented towards experimental and applied research are also appreciated. Significant research elaboration skills in both individual and team settings and the production of articles for publications (single or multi-authored) of high international quality are required. Lastly, strong interpersonal communication skills and a proactive disposition towards research with practical impact will be positively evaluated. Duration: 12 months. The possibility of position renewal is envisaged."
