A aporia no diálogo Crátilo de Platão

Resumo:

Não é a intenção deste pequeno artigo discordar da tradição filosófica, a qual afirma que o Crátilo é um diálogo aporético. O objetivo desse artigo é levantar a possibilidade de que a verdadeira aporia do Crátilo não é o antagonismo excludente da tese convencionalista de Hermógenes e a tese naturalista de Crátilo, mas a questão da relação entre a linguagem e o conhecimento. Ou como o próprio Platão questiona: se é possível conhecer as coisas sem o auxílio da linguagem? Para essa questão ele não possui no Crátilo uma resposta. Dessa forma, está configurada a aporia. Para tentar encontrar uma resposta para a mesma é preciso recorrer a outros diálogos platônicos como Fedon, Timeu e o Sofista.
