Resumo:

Este trabalho pretende indagar quais seriam os limites da argumentação filosófica estabelecidos por Platão e a distância destes mesmos limites em relação ao pensamento de Aristóteles e pensadores posteriores conhecidos como desconstrutivistas. A suposição aqui defendida concerne ao fato de que, para Platão, o que realmente muda na argumentação é que a definição se torna delimitação, que a lógica substitui a retórica, que a demonstração se transforma na persuasão, se assumidos os vínculos hermenêuticos a que estão sujeitos o pensamento e a linguagem.
