Resumo:

Muitas adaptações modernas de tragédias antigas nem sempre são bem recebidas pelo público, seja porque se distanciam do original, seja porque a fidelidade ao original parece impossível. Nesse artigo, intentamos mostrar em Poderosa Afrodite, de Woody Allen, a manipulação que o diretor faz de temas e de elementos formais, como o Coro, do drama antigo, a fim de obter uma boa recepção pelo público contemporâneo.
