Resumo:

O artigo tem por objetivo apresentar, sob uma perspectiva preliminar, por qual motivo dois pensadores contemporâneos, Bergson e Nietzsche, não só se utilizaram da metáfora em seus escritos como também afirmaram ser um meio muito mais adequado para o filosofar. Ambos os pensadores teceram, em diversas partes de suas obras, duras críticas à pretensão da linguagem, fruto do intelecto humano, de abarcar o real, bem como de se utilizar dela para atribuir valores à busca pela verdade. Desse modo, nosso percurso se iniciará expondo suas críticas à linguagem para em seguida adentrar ao uso que esses autores fazem da metáfora propriamente dita.

Abstract:

The paper aims to present, from a preliminary perspective, why two contemporary thinkers, Bergson and Nietzsche, not only used the metaphor in their writings but also claimed to be a much more suitable means of philosophizing. In various parts of theirs works, both thinkers have harsh criticisms of the pretension of language, the fruit of the human intellect, of embracing the real, and of using it to attribute values to a search for truth. Therefore, our course will begin exposing the critics of the authors to the language and then discuss the use that these authors do of the metaphor itself.
