Resumo:

Os modelos de ações afirmativas são um tipo de política que visam, grosso modo, a promoção da diversidade e da distribuição de renda entre as camadas sociais para reduzir ou equilibrar questões de igualdade. Inserido nessa dinâmica social contemporânea, o objetivo central deste texto é analisar se o modelo de ação afirmativa, enquanto desdobramento da teoria liberal igualitária de Ronald Dworkin, consegue ser uma alternativa justificada para resolver o desequilíbrio social presente em sociedades racistas. Se minha hipótese estiver correta, defenderei que o modelo de ações afirmativas de acesso à educação para os negros é justificável e necessária para combater problemas como o racismo e a desigualdade social na sociedade contemporânea.

Abstract:

Models of affirmative action are a kind of policy which aimed, roughly, the promotion of diversity anddistribution of income between social classes to reduce or balance equality issues. Considering thiscontemporary social dynamics, the central aim of this paper is to analyze whether the affirmativeaction model, while deployment of egalitarian liberal theory of Ronald Dworkin, can be a justifiedalternative to solve the social imbalance present in racist societies. If my hypothesis is correct, I willargue that the affirmative action model of access to education for blacks is justified and necessary tocombat problems such as racism and social inequality in contemporary times
