Die Genese der Naturphilosophie des jungen Schellings aus der Frage nach der Möglichkeit der Konstruktion eines Systems der Philosophie

Abstract:

This Paper aims to demonstrate how the philosophy of nature of Schelling’s was developed from the need to answer the question about the possibility of building a philosophical system, able of synthesizing realism and idealism. In order to clarify this genesis, I will reformulate the initial problem of Schelling in four different questions: 1. The possibility of philosophy as science; 2. The search for an unconditional, absolute principle of philosophy; 3. The duality of philosophical systems and the duality of their principles; 4. The possibility of the passage of the infinite to the finite in the philosophy. Finally, I will introduce the solutions to these problems that I think were found by young Schelling in his philosophy of nature: 1. The objectification of knowledge as an act of knowledge of nature; 2. The immanence of subjective principle in nature by the unity of natura naturans and natura naturata; 3. The duality of the principles of nature as free play of opposing forces; 4. The organism as symbol of the absolute and the intellectual intuition as knowledge of the absolute.
