Abstract:
This article focus on questioning democracy and thinking about the possibility of new ways of political governance in our technoscience days. In order to that, the initial point asks if democracy is really the best way of government. Exploring, in the form of a brief literary review, the conceptual definitions and problematizations around democracy present in the work of great western philosophers, it is purposed the idea that we cannot understand democracy as the universal and ideal form of good governance. Next, considering the increasingly complex societies and the crisis of the two modern metanarratives, such as liberalism and socialism, the article focus on problematizing the relations between power exercise and the new forms of human sociability and subjectivity that emerge today. In that context, the emancipatory possibilities are studied, purposing the central idea in which one of its main effects is the civil empowerment, thus constituting the objective and subjective conditions for republican ways of government. It is also argued in favor of aristocratic and feminist values and principles, and the cybernetic systems of human production and interchange as fundamental attributes of the contemporary republicanism. Finally, as a theoretical synthesis of new possibilities and ways of governance, beyond democracy, it is purposed the idea of an Aristocratic Feminist Cybernetic Republic.
