Resumo:

Os debates que tiveram lugar sobre a “Pachamama” e a relação entre o Cristianismo e as espiritualidades da “Mãe Terra”, durante o último Sínodo da Amazônia, só podem ser esclarecidos reconectando a Revelação e o que a tradição chamou de “o livro da criação”, ou de “religiões naturais”. Simone Weil, diante da crise do racionalismo moderno, percebeu a necessidade de renovar o diálogo entre mito e razão, criação e revelação. Por isso o seu pensamento é precioso para nós, porque já naquela época, e ainda hoje, a tendência idólatra e mais ameaçadora já não é aquela que habitava o antigo “paganismo”, mas o desses novos ídolos contemporâneos que são os poderes econômicos, tecno-científicos e políticos. Portanto, “Logos” e “Muthos” devem ser vistos menos como ramos de um dilema e mais como dois princípios cujo Verbo Encarnado une e transcende no mistério da Encarnação.

Abstract:

The debates that took place on the «Pachamama» and the relationship between Christianity and the spiritualities of «Mother Earth», during the last Synod on the Amazon, can only be enlightened by reconnecting Revelation and what tradition has called “the book of creation”, or “natural religions”. S.Weil, faced with the crisis of modern rationalism, saw the need to renew the dialogue between myth and reason, creation and revelation. For that reason, her thought is precious to us, because at that time, and still today, the most threatening idolatrous tendency is no longer that which inhabited ancient «paganism», but that of these new idols that are the economic, techno-scientific and contemporary political powers, «Logos» and «Muthos» are thus to be seen, less as branches of a dilemma than as two principles that the Incarnate Word unites and transcends both in the mystery of the Incarnation.
