Resumo:

Objetiva-se apresentar o conceito de interpretação em Paul Ricœur. Para tanto, são analisadas as três dialéticas que sustentam o conceito de interpretação, a saber: a dialética do discurso, composta pelo evento/acontecimento (tese) e pela significação (antítese); a dialética da leitura, composta pela apropriação (tese) e pela distanciação (antítese); e, por fim, a dialética da interpretação, composta pela compreensão (tese) e pela explicação (antítese). A hipótese de leitura defendida neste artigo é que, de um lado, as três teses das três dialéticas - a saber, evento, apropriação e compreensão - se interrelacionam de modo fundamental, tanto quanto as três antíteses - a saber, significação, distanciação e explicação -, sendo tal interrelação necessária à própria possibilidade de alargamento e enriquecimento interpretativo, tal como proposto pela hermenêutica ricœuriana.

Abstract:

The objective is to present the concept of interpretation in Paul Ricœur. To do so, the three dialectics that support the concept of interpretation are analyzed: the dialectic of discourse, composed of event/occurrence (thesis) and meaning (antithesis); the dialectic of reading, composed of appropriation (thesis) and distancing (antithesis); and finally, the dialectic of interpretation, composed of understanding (thesis) and explanation (antithesis). The reading hypothesis defended in this article is that, on one hand, the three theses of the three dialectics - namely event, appropriation, and understanding - interrelate in a fundamental way, just as the three antitheses - namely meaning, distancing, and explanation - interrelate. Such interrelation is necessary for the very possibility of broadening and enriching interpretation, as proposed by Ricœur's hermeneutics.
